Renaissance Camp 2011
![]() |
Now in its 24th year! This innovative and exciting program for children ages 6-10 brings together art and science in an atmosphere of recreation. Participants receive hands-on art and science instruction each day from trained and experienced staff. In addition, participants will have fun taking part in special events, playing organized games and sports, cooking, music, open house, and making new friends. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:8. Local (e.g. UCSC Arboretum) and out-of-county field trips (e.g. San Francisco Exploratorium) are included in registration fees. Special guest speakers and an open house are also included. Please note: the site is closed on all field trip days. In order for participants to get the most from the program, it is recommended that they attend the program each day, and have an interest in learning about art and science. A week before each session begins, parents will receive an information handbook and an emergency information card. Please be sure to review the information in the handbook, and fill out the emergency card completely. The emergency card must be given to the site staff on the first day of camp. Send your child with a lunch and snacks each day, wearing closed-toe shoes (i.e., sneakers). The program is held at Aptos Village County Park, Monday-Friday. Please note - Your child must be enrolled in the Camp Program in order to enroll in AM or PM care. |
