SuperKid Triathlon

Co-sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Department of Parks and SHARP. The triathlon begins with the swim, and continues into the bike and run segments without any breaks. Bicycle helmets are mandatory for the entire bike ride. Participants under age 6 may use any type of bike (training wheels o.k.). Participants age 7 and up are required to use a wide-tire bike, mountain bike, or BMX-type bike; they will ride on the dirt fire road adjacent to the Swim Center parking lot. Younger swimmers may use an approved floatation device for the swimming segment; an assistant in the water will be available to help your child across the pool. Registration
SIGN UP EARLY! SPACE IS LIMITED. Visit www.sktri.com to register online or to download and mail/fax a form. Race-day registration is available up to 90 minutes prior to your child's age-group start time. Do not use the registration form on page 5 for this event--go to www.sktri.com for a registration form.
Who Benefits
Proceeds from SuperKid go to the non-profit organization Supporters and Helpers of Arts, Recreation and Parks (SHARP) for summer camperships, and the youth and athletic groups volunteering at the event. Entry Fee for all ages
$30.00 by August 31; $35.00 after Sept. 1 Awards: All finishers receive a medal!
USAT Fee
A $5.00 USA Triathlon Fee (USAT) is included in the fee listed above. This fee is mandatory for insurance purposes. Parents will be required to sign a USAT form at the check-in table on the day of event. Participants from last year should check their USAT annual membership cards for expiration date. If your child’s USAT membership was purchased for last year’s event it may still be good for this year.
Parking
Parking is limited. Parking will be available at Ledyard's and Shoreline Middle School, both of which are adjacent to the Swim Center. Parking signs will be posted.
Gift Bags/Prizes
All pre-registered participants will receive a race T-shirt, swim cap, and other special sponsor gifts. Please arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your child's age group start time. Raffle prizes will be awarded all day.
