Park Service Officer

Learn the principles and techniques of assisting community members using County Parks facilities! Park Service Officers provide routine information and assitance to community members who rent or reserve park facilities. Work schedules include weekends, holidays and evenings and may fluctuate depending on season or condition. This position is perfect for a team player with excellent communication skills, someone who works well with diverse groups of people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Recreation Leader
(Park, Recreation & Cultural Worker I-IV)

Throughout the County we offer camps, after-school care, and enrichment programs! Park, Recreation & Cultural Workers are part of a professional and energetic team that creates a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for children. County Parks recreation staff thrive on bringing out the best in employees and program participants! This position is great for individuals who are passionate about learning, art, nature, math, theatrics, nurturing or reading! Share and explore with us as we engage with the children in our community!

Lifeguard & Head Lifeguard

The Simpkins Family Swim Center is the premier Aquatics facility in the County! Lifeguards and Head Lifeguards play essential roles in our coastal community and are part of a professional, healthy, and strong team. Lifeguards keep members of our community safe, teach swimming, participate in regular training exercises, supervise staff and programs, and work with children and families. Whether you are a recreational swimmer, surfer, or swim team enthusiast we have a place for you to learn and grow! All lifeguards require certification.

Park Maintenance Worker I-II

County Parks manages and maintains over 60 parks and beach access points throughout the County! Park Maintenance Workers are part of an experienced team which builds, repairs, and maintains County parks. This position offers skill development in construction and landscape projects, and parks and facility maintenance. Under general supervision, Park Maintenance Workers perform maintenance work in areas such as landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, irrigation, electrical, or equipment operation and maintenance. Thanks to the work of Parks Maintenance Workers, County Parks offers clean and safe places for the public to enjoy!
